Forms Fantasy Factory with partner Sue Hall – subtitled The Centre for Advanced Television Studies.
Upon release, Hoppy forms BIT – an information exchange for Underground concerns: legal representation, squatting, drug problems etc.
Largely to raise funds for IT, Hoppy and Joe Boyd start UFO – London’s first weekly psychedelic nightclub.
Inspired by US Free Press, Hoppy and friends publish “The Global Edition of The Longhair Times” – the UK’s first Underground newspaper.
Group of musicians from Cambridge named Pink Floyd rehearsing at All Saints Church Hall, Notting Hill.
Quits job at Harwell, moves to London 1960. Becomes professional photographer – photographing music, CND marches, political and social issues.
On to Emmanuel College, Cambridge. Takes degree in Natural Sciences.
